Nail Montage
Nail Montage’s inspiration was drawn from their business card, brochure and the feeling I had when stepping into the salon spa for the first time. It was welcoming and elegant and I wanted to convey that feeling to website visitors.
The owners were not pleased with the initial design of the website (see a before screenshot below) and contacted me after seeing the work I did for embe. Since the re-design, the website has drawn in 2-5 new customers a week.
This is Nail Montage’s website before the re-design:
Skill set:
- Dreamweaver (CSS and HTML)
- Photoshop
- The design was based off Nail Montages business card and brochure.
Love-N-Share
Love-N-Share is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged children around the world. My sister is on the board and asked if I could volunteer my time to create the organizations website. Having worked for 5+ years at a non-profit myself and knowing the financial struggles they must overcome (especially in these difficult times!) I was more then happy to help.
The organization wanted to easily share their current and future projects with volunteers, donors and members so I turned to WordPress.org for the blogging feature and ease of updating.
Skill set:
- WordPress.org (CSS, themes, plug-ins)
- The site design was based off the logo.
embe
This site is near and dear to me. Not only did I have creative reign but it’s for my own business as well! The idea of opening our own online shop to sell knitted, crochet and sewn items came up during a playdate with a friend. Two months later after many meetings, late nights and knitting up a storm we launched our online store – embeshop.com
Skill set:
- WordPress.org (CSS, templates, plug-ins)
- Photoshop
- InDesign
